It's taken me almost a year to get this one finished but it's finally here; for all the ATC fans out there I present to you: Ghostbusters The Mixtape: Answer the Call.
Ghostbusters ATC gets too much hate, and along with it so does it's fans; who often get pushed aside and left behind when it comes time to share in the Ghostbusters fandom. Love it or hate it the impact this movie has had on the franchise and fandom as a whole is unquestionable, to say that pre ATC, Ghostbusters was in a slump would be a serious understatement whether die hards wanna admit it or not this film (and it's fan base) helped rejuvenate a flailing franchise and for that I'm truly grateful.
Much like my previous two tapes (stream/download them here) this plays out more like an enhanced soundtrack than a scene for scene audio re-telling, so put ya feet up, grab an Ecto Cooler and prepare to get Holtzmann'd baby!

As mentioned on the latest episode of the awesome Ghostbusters Interdimensional Crossrip Podcast, Ray Parker Jr was at Comic Con Scotland last weekend and took park in a brief Q&A.
All the Ghostbusters related questions were included in this week's Crossrip episode but for those wanting the full RPJ experience, stream the complete Q&A below.
As laid out in my Instagram post from today I have re-opened my Ghostbusters inspired merch store Crank's Occult, this time focussing primarily on my Haunted Holiday collection. I'll be releasing four new designs a year as a patch and sticker alongside one existing Haunted Holiday design that will be re-released as a soft enamel pin. I will continue to donate money form every item sold to charity however where I once gave 10% I will now give 15%.
I have also permanently reduced all non Haunted Holidays lines by 50% as a thank you to the Ghostbusters fan community for their continued support and encouragement.
It's been a minute but I'm back with another Ghostbusters mash-up!
This one came to me in the shower a few months back whilst listening to the original classic "Bustin' Loose" from the legendary Chuck Brown & the Soul Searchers (which is a great wake up track btw). "Ghostbustin' Loose" tells the story of the boys in grey's first bust at the infamous Sedgewick Hotel.
"Ghostbustin' Loose", like all of my Ghostbusters remixes and mash-ups is competely free to stream and download right here on EctoCrank.com.

After months of fundraising (and a week delay) I finally took part in the St Helena Hospice 2018 Comic Hero Run, a 5K charity fun run that I completed... dressed as Slimer! It was hot, sweaty and hard to breathe but I finished in the top 10 (I came in 6th place) out of over 100 runners!
I had a great time taking part in this fun run and as difficult as it was to complete, it was well worth it to raise £300 for the hospice. On that note I just wanna say thank you to everyone who donated to this event and to all the Ghostheads and Ghostbusters Franchises that have helped me promote this event over the last 6 months.
Pretty sure I'll be running again in 2019, the only question is: where do I find a Stay Puft costume?
It's World Autism Awareness Week!
Our very own Dan Aykroyd has stated that his Asperger syndrome contributed to the inspiration for Ghostbusters because one of his symptoms included "my obsession with ghosts and law enforcement".
You can find out more about Autism and how you can lend your support via the National Autistic Society's website autism.org.uk
Today I added four new pages to my "Ghostbusters "Paranormal Activity Book" (bringing the total up to ten pags). The GBPAB is a free to download activity book filled with Ghostbusters themed puzzles, colouring sheets, word searches, etc. designed initially for franchises to give away at conventions but could easily be used by teachers for schools and clubs or you can just grab these for your kids as a rainy day activity.
The book is made up of original activities, designed by me and older stuff I've pulled and re-drawn from classic Ghostbusters kid's books such as the old 80s Marvel annuals. Consider them my gift to you; simply DOWNLOAD, print and enjoy.
After re-reading IDW's fantastic Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles/Ghostbusters crossover comic book series I became inspired to do a little crossing over of my own. For this one I knew I had to team Ray Parker Jr's immortal 'Ghostbusters' with the opening track from the 1990 Turtles move; John Du Prez and David Frank's cowabunga classic 'Turtle Rhapsody'.
Before I get into anything I've gotta say a huge thank you to Matthew Arndt for requesting this one. As a lifelong Michael Jackson fan I'm ashamed to say I that I never had the idea to combine these two tracks, so thanks dude!
For me, Thriller is without question one of the greatest songs of all time, so tackling this one was a real joy. Having said that, it was so hard to find ways to incorporate Ghostbusters into Thriller without changing the feel and the flow of it, so Thrillerbusters is definitely more Thriller with Ghostbusters sprinkled in than a straight up 50/50 mash-up.
Thrillerbusters will be available for free download from New Year’s Day right here on ectocrank.com
When it comes to Ghostbusters: Answer the Call, opinions are (shall we say) divided, but when it comes to Alex Goose & Tyler Demorest's "Ghostbusters 2016" featured in the trailer of ATC opinions are unanimous, it's awesome, it's badass and it maybe the best part of Ghostbusters in 2016.
Since day one fans have been clamouring for a full length/official release of this track and as yet those pleas have fallen on deaf ears (c'mon Sony, what you playing at!?). So, much like the Extreme Ghostbusters theme I've taken matters into my own hands, remixing a full four minute version of the track and I've thrown in a few classic Ghostbusters quotes and sounds for good measure. Props to Alex Goose & Tyler Demorest though, their natural talent and flawless work made this Ghosthead’s job that much easier. this was so much fun to put together, I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed making it.
